This recipe is from the one and only Martha Stuart, but slightly tweeked for the lazy. Unlike that crazy broad, I opted out of buying twenty-four lemons (aka squeezing forty-eight halves) to make a cocktail.
Wtih the help of fresh-squeezed supermarket lemonade, we’ve got ourselves something supremely delicious as well. Of course Mother Martha’s drink, with her two dozen lemons and simple syrup, does look immensely better. I’d be all over that..someone else would just have to make it.
5 cups lemonade (best quality available)
2 cups vodka
12 sprigs of fresh thyme, plus more for garnish
1 cup of water
Very lightly muddle the thyme with the outside of a spoon. Add lemonade and let chill for 2 hours. Add vodka and water, stir and serve.
